Last Call: Nominate a Baltimore Changemaker! (Deadline for Nominations: Sept 11)

Know someone in Baltimore doing incredible work for our community? The Baltimore City Office of Equity and Civil Rights (OECR) is hosting their annual Charm City Changemaker Awards, and the nomination window is closing *very* soon!

It’s a fantastic opportunity to recognize the grassroots organizers, advocates, and leaders who are working hard to build a more just and inclusive city. Whether it's a dedicated local institution or a youth leader between 12–25, your voice can help shine a spotlight on those moving Baltimore forward.

Here’s what you need to know to submit your nomination:

  * Who can be nominated: Anyone living or working in Baltimore City. You can even nominate yourself or your own organization!

  * Award Categories: They're looking for champions across six focus areas, including Dignity in Policing, Wage Justice, Access & Inclusion, Gender Justice, Service & Transition Support, and Equity in Employment and Opportunity - plus a special category for Youth Community Leaders (ages 12–25).

  * The Deadline: You only have until tomorrow (Fri, Sept 11th at 11:59 pm) to get your submission in.

  * How to submit: You can fill out the nomination form, here.

The winners will be celebrated at the 33rd Annual Civil Rights Breakfast on October 2nd to kick off Civil Rights Week. Let’s make sure these local heroes get the recognition they deserve! If you have any questions, you can reach out to the organizers at <jumel.howard@baltimorecity.gov>.
