Baltimore Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Closures & Event Delays for Fri, Sept 11th –Sun, Sept 13th

If you're planning to travel around Baltimore this weekend, be prepared for significant traffic modifications and road closures. Between the rugby match at M&T Bank Stadium, the Ukrainian Festival, and ongoing construction, it is highly recommended to plan your route in advance.

Here's the breakdown of what to expect:

  * Jones Falls Expressway (JFX) Construction: Temporary right lane closures will be in effect along the northbound JFX for graffiti removal. Expect delays from Thursday through Sunday, between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

  * 50th Annual Ukrainian Festival: Montford Avenue will be closed between Eastern Avenue and Fleet Street starting Thursday at 4:30 p.m. through Sunday at 10:00 p.m.

  * Star-Spangled Banner Weekend Parade: On Friday, expect closures on Hull Street and Eastbound Fort Avenue from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Transit users should monitor service alerts via the Charm City Circulator website or by using the Tripshot app.

  * Springboks vs. All Blacks Rugby Match: Saturday will bring heavy traffic and large crowds to the stadium area. Stadium-area road closures begin at 12:00 p.m. Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced, so consider using public transit via MTA Maryland, the Transit app, or the CharmPass app.

  * Baltimore Farmers’ Market: Expect traffic modifications and street closures on Sunday along Holliday, Pleasant, and Hillen Streets from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

For real-time navigation and detours throughout the weekend, the Department of Transportation recommends using the Waze app.

Stay safe and plan your travel accordingly!
