We stopped by Local Color Flowers recently to make a unique spooky craft: a Halloween Terrarium! Carling, one of the designers, put together this great kid activity that requires just a touch of adult assistance. Warning: it gets messy! But, hey, that's childhood.
Come in your PJs and join us for an early morning play date full of storybook fun on Saturday, November 2nd at St. James Academy. At 8:30 am, students from St. James Academy will be performing scenes from the beloved children's story Charlotte's Web (a don't miss! The school is known for their outstanding theatre program!). After that, munch on breakfast treats (plenty of java for the grown-ups), meet local authors, get your face painted and participate in fun book-themed arts and crafts projects developed by the St. James Academy Staff. FREE! But please bring a new children's book to donate to The Little Lion Challenge. We're putting togther book and PJ care packages for local children's hospitals. Thanks for helping us make a little roar!
If grocery shopping is one of your least-favorite things to do or is getting squeezed out of the 'to-do' line-up because of {better? more fun? insane kid schedule?} activities, you'll be delighted to learn about Relay Foods. Perfect for everyday foodies, this regional online market for sustainable foods and everyday groceries carries over 30,000 items. My favorite part? They work with a ton of my favorite local farms. Order online and have groceries delivered for a nominal fee — or pick your groceries up for FREE from designated city pick-up spots, including: Roland Park, Patterson Park Charter School, Francis Scott Key Elementary School, Mt. Washington, and Hampden.
We worked with Relay to create this fam-friendly meal utilizing a secret ingredient from their Fall Tasting Box...
