MARKETING MINUTE [Video]: "5 Keys to Knowing Everything Possible about Your Target Audience"

Marketing is key for any company, but especially for those with a home-based business. The BETTER that you know your target audience, the more successful you will be in a) locating potential customers and b) solving their problems by offering them a solution. In today's "MARKETING MINUTE" video, I go over 5 keys in getting to know your target audience. 5 Keys to Knowing Everything Possible about Your Target Audience:


1) WHO ARE THEY???
- What are their demographics? (Age, gender, income-level, etc)
- How do they like to be entertained? How do they spend their free time?
- What are their hobbies and passions?
- What are their goals and dreams? If time and money didn't matter, how would they be spending their time?
- Where do they hang out online?
- How are they inspired? How are they motivated?


2) WHERE ARE THEY IN THEIR LIFE, RIGHT THIS MINUTE???
- Where are they in their personal life? Where are they in their business life?
- What are their problems? What are their pain points?
- What challenges do they face, day-to-day?
- Do they believe in their own success?
- Are they seeing the level of success that they want? Why or why not?
- What's keeping them from reaching their true potential?
- How many hours per week are they dedicating towards self-improvement?
- What are their fears? What's holding them back from pursuing their dreams?
- Do they want *something* - but don't know how to get it?
- How do they feel about themselves, right now? Confident & successful? Or frustrated & discouraged?


3) WHAT HAVE THEY ALREADY TRIED???
- How are they trying to solve their problems on their own?
- What keywords and hashtags are they searching online?
- What videos do they watch to try to find answers?
- What fan pages and groups have they joined?


4) ARE THEY READY FOR A CHANGE - OR NOT YET???
- What makes them want to change *now*?
- How skeptical are they of potential solutions? How open-minded are they?
- Are they hungry for change? How badly to they want it?
- Does their goal mean everything to them?
- How willing are they to accept help from others? How willing are they to ask for it?
- How many hours per week can they dedicate to working towards applying a solution?
- How serious and committed are they?
- What makes them want to learn more?
- What's their support system like? Do they have mentors?


And, lastly...


5) WHY ARE YOU, PERSONALLY, THE SOLUTION???
- What do you have to offer and how will it solve their problem?
- How are you and what you have to offer any different from what they've already tried?
- How resistant will they be to what you have to offer them?


As my mentor says, "Be borderline creepy on how well you know your perfect customer!" ;)
