The Holidays Come Alive All Along Baltimore's Waterfront - Revisit Your Favorite Traditions or Discover Something New!
It's the most wonderful time of year on the Baltimore Waterfront with merriment, fun-filled festivities and bountiful good cheer! Now through the end of December, we are making it a holiday season you and your family will always remember.

This has been an exciting year for the Waterfront Partnership and we are proud to share the progress we are making along the Waterfront.

INNER HARBOR 2.0
A Once In A Generation Opportunity
Earlier this month, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake joined the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore, Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC) and the Baltimore City community and business leaders to unveil a plan to enhance and improve the Waterfront District for future generations.
Posted on our website for viewing or download are several documents: The Inner Harbor 2.0 Plan; A Summary of the Plan; and highlights of an Economic Impact Study performed by HR &A Advisors, a real estate, economic development and public policy consulting firm. We hope you will take some time to review the Plan and give us your feedback.



THE BALTIMORE WATER TAXI
New Harborview Landing & Winter On-Call Service
Set sail on the Baltimore Water Taxi's Harbor Connector and quickly commute from Federal Hill to Harbor East, for FREE. The Baltimore Water Taxi added the Harborview Landing, located at the eastern most point of Pier Side Drive, to its current list of official stops. In addition to regular stops, the Harborview Landing will also be used exclusively for the Harbor Connector Route, which will run every 15 minutes from 7am to 7pm Monday – Friday.
Beginning Monday, December 2nd and running through February 28th the Baltimore Water Taxi will operate on an "on-demand" basis that enables riders to call for a boat directly to a specified Water Taxi landing. To request service riders must call 410-563-3900. On weekends, the boats will run on their regular continuous schedule with boats passing each landing approximately every 20 – 25 minutes.

RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT!
2014 Passport On Sale
The Ripley's 2014 Passport is on sale now through April 30th, 2014. For less than half of the cost of a return visit, the Passport holder will have unlimited access to the Odditorium, the Mirror Maze and one 4D Theatre screening per visit until December 31st, 2014. In addition, each Passport holder will receive a free souvenir book upon purchase, two free colors on any wax hand purchased throughout the year and 20% off all books and retail. CHARM CITY CAROUSEL
Holiday Operating Hours
Charm City Carousel is one of Baltimore families' favorite spots in the Inner Harbor. The 36-foot carousel is located in the southwest corner of the promenade, adjacent to the Maryland Science Center. Guests can purchase ride tickets onsite: $3 for 1, $10 for 4, and $20 for 10 tickets. Birthday party packages are also available and include two hours of unlimited carousel rides and a private seating area for the birthday child and their invited guests. Hours of Operation: **Special Holiday Hours** November 16th - December 31st: Weekends 11am - 4pm and December 21st - December 31st: Daily 11am - 4pm The Carousel will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. FELL'S POINT
10th Annual Olde Tyme Christmas Festival
Join us in Fell's Point for the 10th Annual Olde Tyme Christmas Celebration where you can enjoy the popular activities and events offered in "Christmas Past" and some new events too! From December 6th through December 8th Fells Point will be decorated in an array of fragrant green garlands, red bows and twinkling lights; and what better way to get into the holiday spirit than an authentic Holiday Market, Eggnog Contest, Wreath Decoration Contest, Reindeer Pub Run and Family Holiday Activities. HISTORIC SHIPS IN BALTIMORE
Pearl Harbor Memorial Ceremony
Saturday, December 7th, 12:00PM on board USCGC Taney, Pier 5
Historic Ships in Baltimore honors those who served during WWII with a memorial ceremony to be held on board USCGC TANEY, marking the 72nd anniversary of the December 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, with keynote speaker, VADM John Currier, Vice Commandant of the Coast Guard. This ceremony is free and open to the public.
USS Constellation New Year's Eve Deck Party
Tuesday, December 31st, 10:00PM on board USS Constellation, Pier 1
Historic Ships in Baltimore toasts the New Year aboard USS Constellation at the annual New Year's Eve Deck Party. Sip champagne at midnight and watch the fireworks high above the Inner Harbor crowds. Festivities include: delicious food from Rouge Fine Caterers, beer & wine, resolutions and party favors, giveaways, special tours and cannon firings all night. NATIONAL AQUARIUM
World Holiday Traditions
Join us on December 6th at the National Aquarium as we celebrate World Holiday Traditions. This event, part of National Aquarium's Cultural Series presented by Macy's, will bring the joyous music and customs of the holiday season from the Aquarium family to your family. Learn all about the celebrations of Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas.  See beautiful Nativity scenes from around the world.  Meet their mascot, Puffin, and the jolly bearded man in red himself – Santa, during special appearances throughout the night! Enjoy a special holiday performance from Joe Duffey and the Teelin Irish Dance Company.  Make recycled holiday cards to send to our veterans. And much more! MARYLAND SCIENCE CENTER
Wrap a Family in Warmth Coat Drive
From December 2nd - December 24th the Maryland Science Center and The Salvation Army are teaming up to wrap families in warmth this winter and with your donation you'll receive a discount to the Mummies of the World exhibition.
Storybook Caravan
At 2:00pm on November 20th, December 4th & 18th join the Maryland Science Center Kids Room staff for storybook science. They'll read a book suited to the exhibit in which they are located and then dive into some hands on investigations.
Gadget and Gizmo's Puppet Science Show
At 11:00am on November 21st, December 12th & 26th join Gadget and Gizmo in the Learning Lab as they explore and discover a variety of science concepts. Enjoy music, dancing, movement activities, and more in this interactive puppet show.
First Fridays
Every month on the first Friday until March 7th, 2014 enjoy $8 admission for First Fridays, which includes the permanent exhibit halls, planetarium, and IMAX Theater on Friday evening beginning at 5:00pm.
Friday Night Stargazing in the Observatory
Venture out to the urban rooftop Observatory to view the night sky as the Maryland Science Center staff helps you find planets and constellations. The Observatory is open every Friday night, weather permitting from 5:30-9:00PM. Stargazing is free and open to the public, admission to the Science Center is not required. Please phone 410.545.2999 before your visit to check on viewing conditions.
Dollar Days
The Maryland Science Center is once again participating in Dollar Days on December 7th and 8th.  Admission is just $1.00 to see their permanent exhibit halls, a planetarium show, demo stage, and the Observatory (weather permitting, Saturday only).  IMAX and Mummies of the World are not included.
Midnight Noon – December 31st, 10AM – 2PM
Does the ball drop after your bedtime? Not this year! Ring in the New Year at the Maryland Science Center with popular band Milkshake! Join the festivities at the 6th annual New Year's Eve celebration, Midnight Noon, where children can enjoy the ball drop before bedtime.

POWER PLANT LIVE!
Santa's Ugly Sweater Bar Crawl
On December 14th toss on your favorite "ugly" holiday sweater and join the merriment at Power Plant Live! for the Santa's Ugly Sweater Bar Crawl - to benefit Toys for Tots. With a $15 donation you will receive a souvenir cup, drink specials all night and access to all bars and nightclubs. Click here for more information.


BALTIMORE VISITOR CENTER
Arts & Crafts with J Howard Hyph – December 7th & 21st, 10AM – 2PM
Join the staff at the Baltimore Visitor Center two Saturdays every month to learn fun things about Baltimore, Maryland, special moments in history and national holidays. "Arts and Crafts with J" is promoted and sponsored by Visit Baltimore. All activities are FREE and open to the public!
