The B&O Railroad centennial celebration, The Fair of the Iron Horse, opening day was Saturday, September 24, 1927. Over 46,000 visitors passed through the festival's gates and daily attendance continued to increase, resulting in the extension of the Fair for an additional week.

For one day only the B&O Railroad Museum presents two performances by Disney Jr.'s Choo Choo Soul. Follow the musical adventures of the hip-hop singer, train station manager, Genevieve Goings, and her dancing, beatboxing engineer DC as they entertain kids while performing soulful and current renditions of the ABC's and 1-2-3's. Toddler Time at the B&O in Baltimore presented by Capital One Bank Wednesday, September 4 & 18 10:30 a.m.
Choo Choo Blue, the B&O Museum's mascot, makes a live appearance at this month's Toddler Time. Children listen to a classic railroad story, create a craft, enjoy playtime at Choo Choo Blue Kids Zone, and take a kiddie train ride through Choo Choo Blueville – all included with paid admission. Recommended for ages 2-5. All children programs begin promptly on-time.
